Heat that is expected to move the NBA champion of Warriors in the expensive free agency

Pat Riley, President of the Miami Heat team, made his intentions clear that the organization does not intend to attribute it to the next season.

It remains to be seen whether this means to follow a superstar on the trading market like Kevin Durant or Giannis Antetocounmpo or acquire young stars that can develop. When Riley and the Heat Front Office choose the latter route, the striker of Golden State Warriors, Jonathan Kuminga, is an important option.

Clutchpoints predicts that Miami Kuminga will pursue in the restricted free agency and hopefully outbid the warriors.

“If the warmth wants to swing up on the head without affecting financial flexibility, the limited Free Agent Jonathan Kuminga is an ideal goal,” wrote Clutchpoints' Enzo Flojo. “At the age of only 22, Kuminga still scratches the surface of his potential. Miami could be the perfect environment to unlock it.”

After an average of 15.3 points and 4.6 rebounds at 45.4 percent in the regular 2025 season, Kuminga fell almost exclusively from the rotation of the Golden State in the playoffs. It is difficult to say if the warriors would waste their time to expect a significant offer to keep it in the city.

As Flojo emphasized, the development system of the Heat is one of the best in the NBA. While the current caliber Kuminga is not worth a large contract, it has enough time to develop into an all-star.
