The Clovis police reveal new details after arrests of 2 teenagers when shooting Caleb Quick

Clovis, California (KFSN) – A day after two teenagers were arrested in connection with the death of 18-year-old Caleb Quick, new details were unveiled.

During a press conference on Saturday morning, Curt Fleming, chief of police from Clovis, said a 16-year-old boy was the alleged shooter and a 16-year-old girl was the alleged escape driver. The suspects have not been identified, but Fleming says that both students are in Clovi's Unified School District.

“With our search commands, we can confidently take up at this location at the time when the crime occurred,” said Chief Fleming.

Both teenagers were arrested for murder.

Chief Fleming said nothing directly through Valley Crime Stopers led to the arrests, so that the reward of $ 40,000 is not paid out.

The filming occurred on the night of April 23 in the restaurant in Willow and Nees.

The surveillance video conquered a suspect that was dressed in black for 13 minutes after Caleb Quick before relaxing him outside the business.

Chief Fleming announced on Saturday that the suspects could also be seen in the surveillance video that arrived in a Tesla police, an hour before the shootout than the short aircraft.

And within a few minutes after shooting, additional surveillance video conquered the boy who ran west with a white Tesla.

There was only action news when the police searched a house on Tuesday. It was just a mile from McDonald's and there was a white Tesla in the garage.

The Clovis police learned this week that the suspicious private defenders had kept and they had told on Friday that they would make arrests.

“Yesterday, when we decided to make arrests, our detective went to places where we know they were likely,” said Chief Fleming.

He added that the lawyers prompted the suspects to give themselves. Action News learned that the girl was in the public prosecutor in the city center of Fresno on Friday.

Fleming also confirmed that a firearm was recovered in the House of the alleged shooter.

The suspects and quickly all knew each other and the suspects were in a dating relationship. No motif was revealed.

“If we have factual information that we can provide, we will provide this,” said Chief Fleming. “We will not confirm rumors or speculations, but these are things that we look at, and it enables us to follow these rumors to see if there is a validity behind him.”

The investigation is now going to the public prosecutor with a registration deadline for formal charges for Tuesday.
