Shedur Sanders thanks Trump's support during the NFL design slide

When Shedur Sanders continued his unprecedented fall in the NFL design last month, President Donald Trump went to social media to express his support for the quarterback.

“I was really grateful. I was really grateful for it,” said the 23 -year -old Sanders on Saturday.

“This includes many fans, many people in barbershops, many hairdressers, many fans of me and my craft and family, who was there to support them. I was only grateful that I had this foundation as a whole. As humans, we could all come together.”

Trump accepted the truth social to express his frustration that the former Colorado star was not selected before the second round began.

“What's going on with NFL owners, are you stupid? Deion Sanders was a great college football player and was even bigger in the NFL. He is also a very good trainer, street as and smart! Therefore Shedur, his quarterback son, phenomenal genes and everything for big setting vests,” wrote Trump.

“He should be 'selected' immediately by a team that wants to win. Good luck, Shedur, and hello to your wonderful father!”

The Cleveland Browns selected Sanders with the 144th overall election in the fifth round, and Sanders will fight for the start -Quarterback job.

Sanders is one of five quarterbacks on the list, and the team has no clear starter. Deshaun Watson broke an Achilles tendon for the second time after the operation over the same tendon in October 2024. His status for the coming season is doubtful.

The Browns acquired Kenny Pickett in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles and signed Joe Flacco to a one-year contract before the NFL design. With the additions of Dillon Gabriel and Sanders in a quarters back room that is already fully bordered, to see who will get nod in the first week.

Sanders and Gabriel took the field for the first time on Friday as members of the Browns on Friday.
