Knicks vs. Celtics Score: Boston hits 20 3 points, runs away in game 3 to get back into the playoff series

The Boston Celtics scored 20 3 points and ran away on Saturday afternoon for a blowout victory against the New York Knicks to score the third game in their playoff matchup in the second round. New York still leads the series 2-1, but Boston has finally dropped many shots. Five Celtics players scored 15 or more points, and six different players scored at least two 3 points. This includes Payton Pritchard, who scored 23 points from the bank and scored half of his 10 3-point attempts.

Boston, who in the first two games (25 for 1-00) 75 3-point as a team also kept 22 points (5- against 9-points shooting) by Jayson Tatum and 19 points (2- against 6-3 points shooting) of Jaylen Brown.

The good news for the Knicks is that you still have control in this series, at least on paper, 2-1 lead and your second home game, which will still come on Sunday. The bad news is that Boston held the Knicks for most of this series, except for two extremely unlikely shooting games that would never continue.

Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns combined for 48 points, but game 3 turned out to be a kink night to get cold from a distance. New York only shot 5 for 25 (20%) to 3S.

The 22-point defeat is bound to the greatest loss of home in Knick's playoff story. The two teams will appear again on Monday evening in Madison Square Garden for Game 4.

CBS Sports will soon have more about this story.
