One dead after the car beats dumper and catches fire in Cameron :: Wral.com.

One person died after a fatal crash in Cameron.

Rescue workers were called for an accident on NC on Saturday at around 12 p.m. on Saturday at around 12 noon.

According to Mike Cameron, Cypress Pointe's fire brigade, the dump truck was well parked from the roadside. He said a car drove off the street and stopped the ripper truck head before it broke out on fire.

Spectators worked to get the victim out of the car and, according to Cameron, immediately started HLW. The fire and EMS officers continued when they arrived, but the victim was declared dead at the scene.

The victim's name has not yet been published. NC 24/27 is closed in both directions.
