'The Last of Us' is up this evening: When you can see Season 2, Episode 5

It's hard to believe, but The Last of Us's second season is halfway. The adaptation for video games has delivered one hearty moment after another, which proves that there are still place for post -apocalyptic programs on television.

Empathy is the first reason – an emotional connection with certain characters and their action lines required the change in the narrative structure to create operations for the audience. This connection comes more naturally if you enter the shoes of a character when playing the game.

Timing is the other reason. “If we would stick to a very similar timeline, the audience would have to wait very, very long to get this context,” said Druckmann. The context is the key, and this strategy works in all reports. The first season broke the evaluations of the audience and just a few days before the second premiere of season, HBO renewed the last of us for a third season.
