6 -Banner Sunday: Mike Woodson returns to NBA.

Welcome to another edition of 6-banner Sunday, a joint production between the call of the meeting and in the hall, where we highlight the five most important IU basketball stories of the past week and look at how the other IU sports programs are doing.

For the first time in several weeks, no squad deductions occurred at IU basketball.

However, this did not last that Hoosier News appeared. The biggest news of the week was that Mike Woodson returned to the NBA and an announcement about the TBT team of this summer.

Here is what is in the edition of this week:

Banner No. 1 – Mike Woodson returns to the NBA

Despite his recent departure from IU, the former coach Mike Woodson did not stay out of the game for long. Instead, he returns to his roots in the NBA, where he is supposed to join the staff of Sacramento Kings, Doug Christie.

Woodson also gave his first public explanation from the Hoosiers since his separation. In addition, all Woodson assistants have found new appearances on other college. Finally, his squad achieved a perfect APR points, with all 24 sports announced their numbers.

Banner #2 – Yogi Ferrell, James Blackmon Jr.

Last summer, a long-awaited TBT team came together with IU basketball alumni. Now 'Assembly Ball' comes back for a second July in a row.

The squad is again led by Yogi Ferrell. A new addition was also announced in James Blackmon Jr.. The competition begins in the Fieldhouse in Indianapolis and offers many Hoosier fans the chance to take part, with tickets here. The games begin on July 19. The number of buying tickets in Indiana will determine how long you can continue the competition in your proverbial backyard.

The tournament master wins $ 1 million again. The last game of the event takes place on August 3.

Banner #3 – duty schedule, interviews with Josh Harris and Trent Sisley

While no new players closed the Hoosiers this week, other messages regarding the list appeared. Of the 11 players who are committed to the 2025-2026 season, 10 of them are not in the portal, and according to the recruitment services, these transfers are high. The youngest of these commits, Josh Harris, spoke to Bloomington in the hall, as well as the incoming newcomer Trent Sisley, who is highly viewed by most recruitment services.

Other Big Ten schools have also done well here. As a result, several are highly viewed at the national level for next year.

Banner No. 4 – Indiana offers a class of 2026 prospects

With the squad for this coming season, the new IU coach Darian Devries has turned to the high school recruitment.

Devries offered several elite players for 2026 scholarships this week.

Banner #5 – Podcast on the edge and back home Network shows

Podcast on the Brink returned this week. This crossed Ryan Phillips from Assembly Call to discuss the low season.

The back home network has been in the air several times in the past few days. Assembly Call Radio, Crimson Cast, the work and XS and Joes had all shows this week.

Banner #6 – Hoosier Roundup

• The women's trainer Teri Moren was appointed head coach of the USA basketball U19 national team.

• Last weekend baseball ended a sweep from Abilene Christian and divided her first two with arch -rival Purdue this weekend. Neuling Jake Hanley was also honored by the big ten.

• Softball defeated Washington in the Big Ten tournament before it was turned off by the UCLA. A trio of players was also honored by the conference.

• Volleyball announced the addition of transfers.

• Women's football added a new co -trainer.

• Field Hockey announced his upcoming recruitment class.

• Frauengolf saw two of his athletes competed in the post -season.

• Lack & Field hosted the Billy Hayes Invitational.

• Finally, IU Athletics celebrated the end of many athletes in the general student population.
