Ferris DPS is looking for suspects after the 17-year-old was killed while shooting

Ferris, Texas – – The Ferris Department of Public Safety is looking for suspects who are involved in a shootout on Saturday afternoon, in which 17-year-old Sir Robert Wesley Dixon was killed and injured.

The background story:

City officials say shortly before 2 p.m. in Jerry Watson Memorial Park, there was a fight with more than 10 people. Adults and young people were involved in the fight. During the fight, officials say that there was a change of shooting.

The investigators say that Dixon was shot by a young suspect.

After this shootout, official said that an adult man had the gun that Dixon had and fired several rounds on the young people, from which he was fired that he fired the first shot.

Suspect in custody:

According to a press release from city officials, both shooters are in custody. The adolescent was charged with murder and the adult man was charged with a fatal weapon and an illegal wear of a weapon because of serious physical injury. Officials have not published any of their names.
