Trump takes free golden 'Air Force One' from Qatar – and holds it after the office

President Donald Trump will accept what could be the most valuable gift that has ever been presented to the United States – and he plans to keep everything for himself.

The royal family of Qatar will use a Super Luxury Boeing 747-8 Jumbo Jet as a new Air Force One, reported ABC News. The jet, which is handed over to Trump's big journey to the Middle East, is known as so luxurious that it is referred to as the “flying palace”.

Trump was reported to the plane and there was his stamp of approval, while it was parked at West Palm Beach International Airport in February, ABC reported.

Sources announced ABC that the jet was transferred to the Trump Presidential Library Foundation shortly before he took office.

Although the gift exchange between heads of state is common, the constitution forbids federal officials to receive personal gifts from foreign heads without the consent of the congress.

All foreign gifts about the “minimal value” – 480 US dollars from March 2025 – will be given to the people in the United States and must be bought by the General Services Administration (GSA) for a fair market value so that they are outlined by the Ronald Reagan library and the museum.

Trump has upset about delays to deliver two new Air Force One Jets as part of a contract of 3.9 billion US dollars for use.

“I am not satisfied with the fact that it took so long,” Trump told reporters in February while on board the Air Force One. “There is no excuse for it.”

Darlene Costello, the head of the Air Force's deputy chief of acquisition, said on Wednesday before the House Armed Services committee that the recent negotiations between the Air Force and Boeing laid the potential delivery of the jets in 2027, CNN reported.

“I would not necessarily guarantee this date, but they suggest bringing it into '27 if we can make changes to an agreement on the requirements,” said Costello.
