Fallen tree causes a large gas leak, a protection in Madison

Madison, Conn. (Wfsb) – Emergency crews react to an active gas leak in Madison on Sunday morning.

Near the overbrook road between the Opening Hill Road and the Colonial Road there is a large gas leak, the police said.

A tree fell and put off power lines that damage a gas -head -gas main presentation.

Several houses are without power.

Officials ask the residents of the area to protect themselves until the area is safe.

The public is asked to avoid the area at this time.
