NHL-Playoffs 2025: Stanley Cup time plan, bracket, scores of points when Golden Knights Oilers defeated with Summer Theater

The second round of the NHL playoffs 2025 provided another night of entertaining hockey when Carolina Hurricanes and the Vegas Golden Knights took another step towards the conference final. The Hurricanes hid the Washington Capitals in game 3, and the Golden Knights needed heroic deed in the last seconds of Reilly Smith.

In Raleigh, Frederik Andersen banged the door for the offensive of the capitals for 60 minutes. Andersen stopped all 21 shots with which he was faced with a 4-0 win. He was excellent and Carolina's offense received contributions from the line -up.

Andrei on the Washington side fought Logan Thompson on the net and left four goals on only 28 shots. He will need a jump back in game 4 to achieve the series in two games per piece.

On the other side of the continent, the Golden Knights and Oilers in Edmonton looked like they were intended for overtime when Connor McDavid made the score with just over three minutes. Smith had other ideas.

After the clock settled in the regulation, Smith took a loose puck into the high slit and played a brilliant game. He pumped a few oilers, patiently dealt with Edmonton goalkeeper Stuart Skinner and set the winning goal of Leon Draisaitls Stock with a 0.4 second lead.

The games on Sunday are difficult to follow, but the matchups are prepared for more fireworks. First the Winnipeg Jets and Dallas Stars play a decisive game 3, and then the Toronto Maple Leafs try to bring Florida Panthers to the edge of the elimination.
