1 dead, 1 on Sunday morning arrested hit-and-run examination

Las Vegas (KTNV) – A man is dead after he was hit by a car in Central Valley on Sunday morning, according to the Metropolitan Police Department of Las Vegas.

Around 3:28 a.m. the U -Bahn police said that a vehicle had hit a male pedestrian at the intersection at the South Decatur Boulevard and the Alta Drive and left the scene before the officials arrived.

According to Metro Police, evidence of scenes and video indicated that a black Mercedes-Benz S560 from 2018 accelerated north to Decatur. When the police police approached the intersection with a green light, the police said that the vehicle hit the male pedestrian who went in a marked crosswalk but against the pedestrian signal.

The pedestrian died at the scene.

First, the Metro police said that the vehicle went north again and again to Decatur, but later returned to the scene and showed signs of impairment.

The suspect, the 45-year-old Maurice Washington, was arrested for DUI and hit-and-runan plants.
