His truck was hit by a 2009 Toyota Camry, who was driven by the 22-year-old Ella Clause from Waterloo, who turned north to the Highway 13 after stopping at the stop sign.

The impact caused Larsen's vehicle three times before it landed in the median. It was freed by Marion Fire and Linn County Rescue and brought to a nearby hospital with non -life -threatening injuries. Clausen was not seriously injured and refused medical treatment on site.

Both drivers wore seat belts and airbags that were used in both vehicles. The authorities say that the crash was caused by Larsen's failure to stop at the intersection.
