Catar gifts Trump Jumbo Jet to use as Air Force One

Qatar's royal family offered to donate a Jumbo jet to the Department of Defense that could serve as Air Force One, but an official from the White House said that the offer was not accepted, Fox has learned.

Earlier on Sunday, ABC News reported that President Trump “accepted the $ 400 million Boeing 747-8 Jumbo Jet and would use it until the end of his term if it was handed over to his presidential library. It is assumed that Trump is frustrated by Boeing's delays in the production of a new presidential aircraft.

An official of the White House announced Fox News that the gift was not presented or accepted if Trump visits Doha this week. But the White House stopped completely denying that Trump could take possession of the plane at some point.

“Every gift from a foreign government is always accepted in full compliance with all applicable laws,” said Karoline Leavitt, press spokeswoman for the White House. “President Trump's government is committed to full transparency.”

Trump confirmed the offer in a social post Sunday Night in truth.

“The fact that the Ministry of Defense is given a gift from a 747 aircraft, which the 40 -year -old Air Force One, temporarily replaces a gift in a very public and transparent transaction, receives a gift, the crooked democrats disturb that they insist that we, top dollars, for the aircraft, for the aircraft,” wrote Trump. “Everyone can do that! The Dems are world -class losers !!! Maga.”

Trump goes to the Middle East this week and is expected to meet leaders in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.

Trump said that the plane toured the plane when it was at the asphalt of West Palm Beach in Florida in February, ABC News reported. In the outlet, which was the first to report on the matter, the plane exhibited so opulently that it is called the “flying palace”.

According to reports, the gift was reported to legal checks, since the office of the White House and the Ministry of Justice checked the legality of the President and accepted such an expensive gift from a foreign nation.

The current Air Force One fleet comprises two aircraft, with Trump awarding a contract of 3.9 billion US dollars in 2018 during its first term for the production of two new jets. However, the construction of the jets will not be completed until 2029.

“Boeing is proud to build the next generation of Air Force One and American presidents to offer a flying white house with outstanding value for taxpayers. President Trump has negotiated good business on behalf of the American people,” said Boeing in 2018 after he flooded a deal with Trump for the creation of the new fleet.
