The deputy managing director of the Ghana Gold Board, Sammy Gyamfi, recorded his Facebook page to address the controversy about a viral video that showed him that he was known to Evangelist Patricia Asiedua, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, a large sum of dollar to the evangelist.

In a contribution divided on Sunday, May 12, 2025, Sammy Gyamfi divided the massive criticisms that had followed the incident in the past 24 hours.

He explained that the gesture should be a private act of friendliness.

“People, I have made the wave of criticism aware of my person in the last 24 hours. In order to clarify, this was simply a friendly gesture for a fellow human being, according to my daily and lifelong to give people in need,” he wrote.

He regretted that the plot he thought was privately found his way into public space.

“I sincerely thought that I did this act of friendliness privately and never imagined that the same could go into public space. That is unhappy and unfortunate,” he said.

He continued to recognize the excitement, especially within his party, the NDC.

“I have to say that I understand the turmoil that this gesture has created, especially comrades who are sincerely injured. For all of these comrades, I sincerely sorry for all of these comrades. I respect and appreciate their views,” he said.

Sammy Gyamfi also thanked those who turned for support.

“My profound appreciation goes to everyone who has contacted a consultant and encourage me. I am very grateful for their solidarity,” he added.
He confirmed his commitment to his tasks for the public office and the vision of President John Dramani Mahama.

“However, let me find that my view of the public office as a privilege of serving society, solving problems and helping others did not change.
