One dead, another hospital after the car had jumped into flames at Hollywood crash

One person was killed and others were admitted to the hospital after a fiery two-vehicle accident on Sunday evening in Hollywood.

The collision took place at 5:40 p.m. at the intersection of the Sheridan Street and the North 40th Avenue. The answering officers of the Hollywood Police Department confirmed that at least one person died at the scene. The other injuries were brought to the Memorial Regional Hospital, although the extent of their injuries was not immediately announced.

A video that was recorded by a passing driver showed one of the vehicles that were completely locked up in flames and sent thick black smoke into the sky.

The Hollywood Police Department of the police murder examination leads to the ongoing investigation of the fatal crash.

The authorities have not yet published the identity of the deceased, which caused the accident.

From Sunday evening the intersection was closed in all directions, the police said.
