The neighbors in Brooklyn try to solve the secret of a beloved cat stolen from a local bodega.

The cat's owner believes that a new video could help solve the case.

Snowy The disappearance of the Bodega cat

A wonderful 5 month old Persian named Snowy was stolen by Prince Deli on Thursday evening in the Cortelyou Road in Flatbush.

Ali Alesie is the shop manager and the lawful owner of Snowy.

“A family member for the entire neighborhood. Everyone likes this cat,” said Alesie. “The cat stayed here and went outside and comes back. It is known in this area. Everyone knows that the cat belongs to the Bodega.”

The surveillance video right on the front door shows snow -covered in the arms of a stranger who was most recently seen west towards Marlborough Road.

“I don't know him,” said Alesie.

A hiccup in the police investigation

Alesie brought the video directly to the police, but said that the NYPD no longer actively examined after saying that the workers saw the block down in a bodega how the cat was discontinued in front of the store. It is now believed that the guy on the film material no longer has the cat.

“He threw it. He threw the cat like three blocks,” said Alesie.

He now publishes flyers and offers a reward for a cat, the neighbors who often know and love the Bodega.

“It's terrible because I have a pet. I have a cat at home. If someone stealed it, I don't know what to say,” said customer Alina Moldan.

“My message is, please bring it back. He is a family member,” added Alesie.
