Gonzagas Ryan Nembhard invited to NBA Draft Combine

After Nembhard has shown his skills in a couple of scrimmages, he has the opportunity to do more in a similar environment – albeit together with players who have a higher chance of being selected in the draft of the next month.

Nembhard quickly showed why he was the assist manager of College basketball last season and recorded 15 assists that were combined between two scrimmages in the G League Elite Camp. In his second Scrimmage Sunday, he set 11 points and six templates.

Nembhard is the only member of the 2024-25 team of Gonzaga, which will take part in the NBA Draft Combine or G League Elite Camp. Senior Senior Nolan Hickman and Khalif Battle in the sixth year took part in a tournament before the draft in Portsmouth, Virginia. Gonzaga had no subclasses explained as an early draft candidate.

Nembhard ended his four-year college career with 882 assists, the 22nd most of a player in the history of NCAA Division I. His 344 Assists in 2024-25 led the country and were the fifth season in a single season in the history of the NCAA and the most in the Gonzaga program history. In fact, Nembhard only needed two seasons (70 games) to end with the most fifth -careful templates in the history of Gonzaga (587, two shy, Jeremy Pargo for fourth place).

Nembhard scored an average of 11.7 points and 3.5 rebounds for his career and scored 43.2% from the field and 34.7% compared to 3-point range over 134 games with Creighton (64 games) and Gonzaga (70). His 30-point outbreak against Baylor in the NCAA tournament 2023 was a career high. Nembhard had 28 career games with 10 or more templates.

Although his name is not popular in most big boards, Nembhard appeared in a shelf design by The Athletic as No. 57 as a whole for Orlando Magic.

The NBA design of Combine started on Sunday and ends on May 18. The first 14 picks of the NBA design of 2025 will be determined during the design lottery on May 12th. Duke Freshman Phenom Cooper Flagg is planned as No. 1 of the overall election, regardless of which team is first on the board.
