Shotcut 25.05 Video Editor work on HDR support

Shotcut 25.05 was published on Sunday as the latest function for this non-linear open source video processing software.

The new functions in Shotcut 25.05 include adding an “Alpha Strobe” video filter, a “Freeze frame” function for the timeline, the ability from the file menu, the filter analysis again, “add generator” can now be found on the timeline toolboard new settings options that are intended for deck use.

The Shotcut video editor also works on video support for High Dynamic Range (HDR), but has not yet been completed. Shotcut 25.05 brings HLG color transmission/gamma to the GPU effect area. However, HDR video support is not complete for this version.

Shotcut 25.05 also updates the use of the QT 6.8.3 Toolkit, SVT-AV1 3.0, MLT 7.32 and other dependency updates. Plus a variety of error deposits.
