Donovan Mitchell to undergo an injured ankle of an MRI

Cavaliers star Donovan Mitchell Not played against the Pacers after half -time in the blowout loss on Sunday due to an left ankle injury. As Jamal Collier writes from ESPN, Mitchell was returned as doubtful, and when Cleveland was a breathtaking 41 point deficit in half, there was hardly an urgency to bring him back there in the third or fourth quarter.

According to the Collier, Mitchell felt uncomfortable in his left ankle when he came back on the pitch to warm up before the third quarter. The six-time all-star stopped in the middle of a shooting attempt and the training staff of the Cavs came to check the injury before returning to the changing room.

Head coach Kenny Atkinson He said reporters after the game that Mitchell will undergo an MRI on Monday to evaluate the severity of his left ankle problem (Twitter link via Scott Agness of Fieldhouse files).

It is a dark development for the Cavaliers who took part in a clean injury report on Sunday and even returned to Cleveland in two games per piece. Instead, the Pacers dominated the game from start to finish and ultimately won with a score of 129-109 to achieve a 3-1 lead.

The status of Mitchell, which has already played through a calf problem, will be of great importance for Cleveland before game 5 on Tuesday. He had run the Cavaliers in the first three games in the series with 41.3 points per night. He also performed 6.3 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 2.0 steals per competition and was in his 107 minutes in which the game came on Sunday +29.
