The end of 'Tracker' Season 2 explained: Who killed Colter's father Ashton Shaw? And what is Colter's mother hides?

In true tracker Fashion, the eventful final of season 2, kept the secret of life by delivering one of the most expected answers from the series before asked more burning questions.

Written by Elwood Reid and direction of Ken Olin, season 2, episode 20, “Echo Ridge”, Colter returned home to examine the disappearance of a local Diner owner Bill (Brian Keane). While Colter was back home, he also paid his mother Mary Dove Shaw (Wendy Crewson), stumbled into a deeply concerned kidnapping case and finally got some clarity about the devastating death of his father Ashton Shaw (Lee Tergesen).

Russell swore that someone else had died in the forest on the night on which her father had died, and after Colter found that his father had worked for the government for seven years, he began to investigate his mother despite the request of his mother. Cut to Colter, who drives home to Echo Ridge, California, home, and receives the entire update of Randy (Chris Lee) about the mysterious number in his father's magazine.

It turned out that the number of David Pearson, a scientist who worked in a research institution in California and died in 2003 through the obvious suicide, in the same year when Colter's father died! Before Pearson moved to California, he lived in Hampton, Virginia, and prompted Colter that Pearson had an important “state mood”. Nevertheless, Colter takes his father's investigation into the background and draws his attention to his mother, who is waiting for him with a homemade stack of pancakes and an offer to wash his laundry. Colter goes to the Little Fork Restaurant to chat with Bill's sister, where he learns that Bill has a man and a child who came through the restaurant six months earlier. After something felt like something out of And Bill did the child's discomfort and wondered to the child and asked if it took help when the man went into the bathroom. When the man returned, Bill asked him about his relationship with the boy, but was distracted by a Diner incident in which they contained long enough broken plates so that they had bolt. After a detailed research, Bill learned that the young Chris had been kidnapped outside of San Francisco. Bill examined and set off to find the man after seeing him in Echo Ridge two days earlier.

In the present, Bobby (Eric Graise) follows the last location of Bill's phone and Colter to the coordinates, where he stumbles over his old hometown buddy Joe (Drew Powell) and learns that Bill is looking for a man named Ronnie Yates (Artine Tony Browne), who has cacts for a meth operation. Despite warnings, Colter chooses Yates – or rather, he sneaks into his truck and holds a weapon to the head to demand answers. Colter learns that Bill was looking for a man named Carl Murphy, who – by Reenie (Fiona Rene) and Velma (Abby Mcenany) – was a registered sex offender and truck driver. Colter goes to Murphy's father of the father outside of Echo Ridge and finds an abandoned trailer and photos of boys who propose Murphy's participation in a children's retail network. On the property he also finds a covered car with Bill inside, dead.

Before Colter leaves the trailer, he also stumbles on something that is clearly powerful: one of his father's wood carvings with “A. Shaw” that are carved into the ground. He calls his mother to ask if she knows Murphy, and although she claims that she hadn't done it, she reveals that she went to Colter's Airstream to grab his laundry, and found his father's theaters. Bere up! “There was a lot about your father, of whom I had no idea,” she says Colter. “I don't want you to jump to the conclusions. Whatever happened with Bill has nothing to do with our family.”

After followed Bobby Murphy's Burner phone, Colter and Backup (his buddy Joe!) Go to a farm and take out a man who guarded a stable who holds a boy. Colter goes into the barn and finds a group of men who prepare to put another boy in a van. After his check-in with Bill's sister, Colter goes to Murphy's uncle to learn more about his father's carving. The man who attributed Otto Waldron (Alex Fernandez) to IMDB replies Kalt to the door and claims that he has nothing to do with Murphy. But as soon as he learns that Colter was Ashton Shaw's son, he invites him and encourages him to ask away. When Colter pulls the carving, Otto explains that he had hit Ashton a day after the county had asked him to get the ridge on which the Shaw lived. Ashton was not happy about it, and after the deceased, Otto helped him a wind turbine that provides him with the network.

“We got on well. I helped keep the county away from his back. We spoke one night, I told him I liked the schnitzel he made and he threw one on me,” explains Otto. “But that's not the reason why you are here? The accident …”

When Otto Colter says that his father had many enemies, Colter pulls out his gun and asks if he was in the forest with his father on the night he died. “I was,” replies Otto. When Colter asks whether Otto Ashton has thrown off the cliff, he confirms again, but says he didn't work for the Feds, he just did it because she “asked for my help”. You who? Colter's mother! * Snap* and so is tracker Season 2 ends!
