Trump fires the US copyright officials Shira Perlmutter

The government of President Donald Trump dismissed the Colonel Copyright Officials in the United States – just a few days after the Congress library ended.

Shira Perlmutter was responsible for the US copyright office, which is monitored by the congress library until it was abruptly released on Saturday.

The US Copyright Office informed Fox News Digital that Perlmother had received an e -mail from the White House in which it was found: “Your position as registers as registers of copyrights and director of the US copyright law is immediately terminated.”

Trump released the Congress Librarian Carla Hayden, the first woman and first African American, the librarian of the congress on Thursday. The termination was part of the continuing cleaning of government officials by the government, who are allowed against Trump and his agenda.

Perlmutter's office recently published a report in which it is checked whether companies can use copyrighted materials with artificial intelligence to “train” their AI systems.

The report followed a review that began in 2023 with opinions of thousands of people, including AI developers, actors and country singers.

The office of copyright law in January clarified as one on the basis of the “centrality of human creativity” in the approval of a work that justifies the protection of copyright. The office of copyrights takes up about half a million copyright applications every year and comprises millions of creative work.

“Where this creativity is expressed by the use of AI systems, it continues to enjoy protection,” said Perlmutter in January. “Expansion of protection to material, the expressive elements of which are determined by a machine … would undermine the constitutional goals of the copyright and not further promote.”
