Miami Linebacker Adarius Hayes, who was injured in a fatal two-car crash

Miami Hurricanes, Adarius Hayes, was injured on Saturday in a car accident in the Tampa Bay Area, in which, according to the police, three people were killed.

The accident occurred at 1:45 p.m. when a Dodge Durango driven by Hayes collided with a Kia soul who made a left curve at a crossing in Hayes' hometown Largo, Florida. According to the Miami Herald, two children aged 10 and 4 were killed together with a 78-year-old woman.

A 58-year-old man, who was also a passenger in the Kia soul, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The police informed the Herald that there are no signs of impairment by the two drivers and that no criminal charges were pending by Sunday.

The school declined to comment on the type or extent of the injuries of Hayes when it was reached by the Miami Herald.

In 2024, Hayes played as a real newcomer in 12 games for the Hurricanes, made four duels and recorded it. He was a four-star view of the Largo High School and was classified as No. 3 linackers by Rivals in the national recruitment class 2024.
