UMD students releases a score in 100 men against 1 Gorilla debate

At the end of April, X users triggered a rumble due to a simple question – who wins in a fight? A gorilla or 100 men?

Now users are divided into a viral phenomenon in the debate on the Internet. Influencers such as Mr. Beast and conservationist like Robert Irwin have all weighed because their videos achieve millions of views.

With such an urgent problem, there is only one place to contact to get answers. Students of the University of Maryland chose their thoughts about the battle and their champion.

The winner? For some students, the Gorilla wipes the ground.

Sophomore Marketing and Operations Management and Business Analytics Major Kiley Jensen wanted to remind the world of average arms and teeth from Gorilla compared to the average men.

“I think 100%, the men will have their arms torn off the gorilla,” said Jensen. “[They’re] Do not even have a chance unless they have weapons, which is assumed that they do not know how to hunt in today's world. “

Karan Jain, a junior informatics -major, also believed that the strength of the gorilla easily exceeded that of a man. He said he introduced himself to the Gorilla, which devastated the men with a single spin movement.

Some students simply believed that the men were not ready for the task. Emma Cochran, a major for history and a Persian studies, said that the Gorilla had to be in a cage with men so that they had no choice but to fight. Otherwise the big monkey is victorious.

Cochran also proposed a version of the battle in which the Gorilla loses slightly.

“I feel like 100 women, they don't have to put them in a cage,” said Cochran. “You could just get it.”

However, other students believed that the strength of the men in numbers about their primate relatives would triumph.

Larsen Murray, a student in the second year, found the collision of a question of perseverance. She said, while the Gorilla could drive a good fight, it would be overwhelmed at some point.

Others emphasized the sheer size of the workforce. Jadon Trackim, a junior informatics -major, argued that gorillas that weigh on average would collapse under the weight of 100 men.

But the question remains: How do these students imagine this collision of titans?

Junior Journalism Major Thomas Omorobe imagines it as follows. Five men each take out the legs of the Gorilla. They bring it to the ground. The remaining men plunge past the Gorilla game.

But Omorobe remained certain that this would not be an easy task.

“Nobody says it will be a clean fight,” said Omorobe. “People are injured. Yes, there will be victims.”

Murray commissioned an all-star team to defeat the Gorilla to Dwayne Johnson, Shaquille O'Neal and Mike Tyson “in his heyday” made the cut.

When asked what they would say about this Gorilla, if they had the chance, the students expressed a mix of support, fear and mockery.

Cochran ultimately expressed sympathy for gorillas for her bad reputation and her hypothetical emergency against men.

“Fighting with 100 men can be a noble thing” Said Cochran. “If I had 100 men against myself, I would probably go crazy too.”
