On Monday, President Donald Trump said that China “opened up the American business” after the two countries had agreed to temporarily reduce most tariffs for the other's goods.

Trump stated only a few details about this development, but said that it was “perhaps the most important thing” to get out of the high -ranking trade talks between the two superpowers in Geneva, Switzerland.

Trump's statements in the White House came hours after we and Chinese officials had made an agreement to pause most tariffs and other commercial barriers for 90 days.

The United States agreed to temporarily reduce the tariffs in China to 30%, compared to 145%. Beijing said it would reduce the tariffs for US goods from 125% to 10%.

The US page of the agreement shrinks Trump's “mutual” tariffs in China to 10%. The United States also maintains 20% tariffs that were previously imposed on the provision of fentanyl to America for accusations of China.

The United States said that it would also maintain tariffs for certain Chinese products, including steel and aluminum, before the beginning of April.

According to the White House, China has also “suspended non-tariff countermeasures” since April 2.

The tasks that Trump hit in China in April effectively set up a trade embarrassment with one of the largest suppliers of America.

The agreement to temporarily suspend the tariffs should begin on Wednesday.
