EU chief of trade hits the ministers in London in the middle of licks from outdated pacts

The ministers met with the EU's head of trading in London because they were adopted by Donald Trump by Donald Trump's tariffs in view of Donald Trump's tariffs.

Nick Thomas Symond, the minister responsible for the EU negotiations, was the co-chair of the joint committee for the withdrawal contract with the EU Maros Sefcovic during the first official visitor of the trade commissioner in Great Britain since the beginner of the Labor government.

They referred to the rights of EU citizens in Great Britain as part of the settlement system and the timely implementation of the Windsor frame in order to avoid a hard border on the island of Ireland as some of their joint priorities in a joint explanation after the meeting.

Economic Minister Jonathan Reynolds also met with Mr. Sefcovic.

The meeting will find a summit in Great Britain and the EU in May, which is considered a critical moment in the government's endeavors to reset the relationships after Brexit with Brussels.

Mr. Sefcovic called it a “productive exchange for securing balanced trade relationships” and said that they discussed in one post to X. “The status of international trade and the street in front of us”.

Mr. Thomas Symonds said the discussions are the opportunity to “make an inventory of negotiations and progress”.

There were reports that a draft of a joint explanation before the May summit would describe “common principles of maintaining global economic stability”.

According to reports, the document reports: “We have confirmed our common principles of maintaining global economic stability and our mutual commitment to free and open trade.”

It adds that both sides would continue to work on how we can alleviate the effects of fluctuations on the global economic order “and committed” multilateralism “in Great Britain and Brussels.

The draft is also to relate to the fact that the goal of the Paris Agreement to limit the global increase in temperature to 1.5 ° C within reach.

It is assumed that the US President is not expressly mentioned, although his wording against Mr. Trump's commitment to trade restrictions seems to contradict.

A government spokesman said: “The government rejects the premise that it has to vote between our European and American allies.”

Prime Minister's official spokesman said that he would not go into speculation about the EU summit.

“But we were always clear that we want to strengthen our relationship with the EU in business, security and defense.

“We have always dealt for lower trade barriers – that is in harmony with what the Prime Minister and the Chancellor said.”

The summit in May is to be organized by Great Britain and, since Sir Keir Starrer continues to seek a carve-out with the USA, which would weaken the effects of Mr. Trump of 10% tariffs on goods that occur in America.

Sir Keir has repeatedly rejected suggestions that Britain has to choose between partnerships with Europe or America, and said that the national interest “demands that we work with both”.

However, the ministers have signaled that Great Britain has to strengthen trade relations with other countries after the introduction of import taxes by Trump by Trump.

The British EU summit is scheduled to take place on May 19.
