Narlon Portis in Akron Stich killed near Sand Run Park on Saturday

The 52-year-old man, who was killed in a residential area near the Sandlauf Park on May 10, was identified by the Summit County Medical Examiner office.

The victim was identified as Narlon Portis by Akron. His cause of death was a stab wound to the upper body, said Gary Guenther, chief searcher in the office of the medical examiner, in an explanation.

The Akron police originally reacted to a report on a stab in the 1600 block of the Cromwell Drive around 8 p.m.

On arrival in the scenes, officers Portis found critical injuries.

He was taken to the Cleveland Clinic Akron General, where he was declared dead at 9.13 p.m.

The suspect, who was supposedly known to the victim, fled the scene after the incident, said the Akron police in a statement.

The case is still being examined.
