These are the Oregon cities with most UFO sightings since 1995

The history of the UFO sightings in the United States cannot be told without the northwest's Pacific.

Pilot Kenneth Arnold reported that in June 1947 nine unidentified flight objects had come to Mount Rainier at the high speed of his aircraft past his aircraft, and the terms flying saucer and flying disc were born.

Three years later, Paul Trent took two photos of a flight object after his wife Evelyn discovered it for the first time in the sky above her Dayton Farm. The photos would continue to be published by the McMinnville Telephone register, the Oregonian and Life Magazine. The sighting was emphasized in a US Air Force report from 1967 as “difficult to explain in a conventional way”, and the Hubbub finally led to the annual McMinnville UFO Festival, which will happen for the 25th time this week.

Since people continue to report all of these decades later that they see UFOs of all kinds, Stacker has put together a list of cities in Oregon with the most UFO sightings. The ranking is based on data from the National UFO Reporting Center, which goes back to 1995. Perhaps not surprising, most of the sightings generally correspond to the cities with the largest population groups.

Here is the list:

9 (tie). Gresham, 64 UFO sightings

9 (tie). Hillsboro, 64 UFO sightings

8. Albany, 65 UFO sightings

7. Springfield, 68 UFO sightings

6. Medford, 81 UFO sightings

5. Bend, 87 UFO sightings

4. Beaverton, 96 UFO sightings

3. Eugene, 176 UFO sightings

2. Salem, 181 UFO views

1. Portland, 613 UFO sightings

So far, the database lists three UFO sightings in Oregon this month. The most recent, a star -shaped object with a “small wobbly layer” was reported in Salem on May 5th. The day before, a report came from the Happy Valley of an ice-shaped object that hovered over the scouter mountain. And on May 1st in Tillamook there was a report about an unexplained lightning that “occurred so quickly”.

These are just a few of the 30 reports on UFO sightings in Oregon this year.

Reports continue to fly in, but the US government has assured that so far there are no signs that UFOS have an extraterrestrial diversity.
