Increasing injury: Brandon Woodruff to do with ankle injury, Jose Quintana's next start pushed back

The brewer's starting trotation becomes healthier, but was not a smooth path to recovery. This week started with a little goal when two of her starting jugs have to do with new (but small) injuries.

The first injury is Brandon Woodruff. While he is celebrating hisa debut on Saturday, it was delayed. Adam McCalvy reports that Woodruff had to do with ankle tendinitis before his rehabilitation start on Sunday. He will rest for a week before starting another rehab. This will trace his return to the majors at least one week, although we have to wait and have to see the exact time frame.

Jose Quintana also has a little injury to do. Curt Hogg reports that Quintana has to do with a “short -arm” (which Adam McCalvy determines as a pain in the upper arm). Quintana was originally supposed to start against the Guardinas on Wednesday, but the plan is initially to push him back against the twins on Friday.

The Brewers currently have no starters who are listening beyond the first two games of the Guardians series. Freddy Peralta will start tonight and Quinn Priest on Tuesday. After Quintana was pushed back to Friday and Patrick rested after his Sunday start, the Brewers have to cover the game on Wednesday. You could go with a Bullpen game with some of your long relivers (and a day off on Thursday) or have to move a squad in motion beforehand.
