Shinola honored the late J Dilla with his own watch.

The Detroit Company presented two versions of his time knife inspired by Dilla, which were created in collaboration with Dilla's Estate.

On Monday, Fake Shore Drive'S Andrew Barber gave the fans one of the two limited watches, the Shinola XJ Dilla Chronograph, took a closer look and pointed out that the watch tells both regular time and “Dilla Time”.

“If you look a little closer, it shows Dilla time. When you follow Dilla, you know that he has created his own timing in the way he made beats -he had his own swing. So the dilla time and regular time actually say. And the interior is actually based on his beat bands, the cassette ribbons that looked like it earlier.”

The first of the Limited Edition watches is the Shinola XJ Dilla Chronograph, which is at 1,095 US The Detroit News. Shinola turned 500 out of the chronograph and 150 of the skeleton.

Both are available in a dark blue -green color and contain details that nod on Dilla's legacy. The pieces contain a note by Dan Charnas, author of the 2022 Dilla Biography, Dilla time. The Dilla set also has a leather bag that uses records and receives the 895 US dollar.

The watches are part of the Great American series by Shinola, who honors American pioneers and innovators. The company also gave Jim Thorpe, Smokey Robinson, Wright Brothers, Jackie Robinson, Muhammad Ali, Maya Angelou and Georgia O'Keeffe. This time they wanted to celebrate a hero in the hometown.

The watches and the bag will be available on May 15th at Shinola.com. Peep the teaser trailer told by Big Sean.

As early as February, the later producer James Dewitt was honored with his own street sign in Detroit.
