Braves Stars Ronald Acuña Jr. and Spencer -Strider who increase their injury rehab

Atlanta (AP) -Atlanta Braves-Outfield Ronald Acuña Jr. and the right-handed Spencer Strider take important steps this week when they return to injuries.

Acuña will start on Tuesday with the Florida Complex League team of the Braves in North Port. After the ACL operation on the left knee, he missed almost a full season last year. Acuña was injured on May 26th last season and was operated on June 6th.

Braves manager Brian Snitker said before the game on Monday evening against Washington that Acuña had to play in Minor League games after working in North Port.

“He starts his march back,” said Snitker. “It will be good to just walk around in the outer field and bring him to the flesors.”

Atlantas has missed Acuña, the team's Leadoff grille and 2023 NL MVP. When the Braves joined a four-game series against the Nationals on Monday evening and had scored three or fewer runs in five of their last six games.

Acuña was limited 49 games last season. He met four Homern in 2024.

Strider will throw a simulated game in Atlanta on Wednesday. Snitker said the Braves could better control the work of Strider in the simulated game than when he set up in a small league game.

The good hope that Strider will throw 70 to 75 parking spaces in five innings.

Strider only started two starts last season before the internal bracket operation was founded on April 12, 2024. Strider finished fourth in 2023 NL Young Award and was an all-star who became 20: 5 with an ERA of 3.86 and a major League stock.

Strider returned from the elbow operation when he set up five innings in a 3-1 loss in Toronto on April 16 in Toronto. On April 21, the right-hander was placed on the 15-day injured list after he had loaded his right armpits.

“The knee tendon is good to go,” said Snitker.

The braves can create situations for striders into fields and cover the first basis in the simulated game.

“Then we will evaluate it afterwards,” said Snitker, adding that a Minor League -Reha start was not excluded.

“We need it to make 85 parking spaces or maybe 90 if we decide to start a game,” said Snitker about Strider's return to Atlanta Rotation.
