“Only wildly illegal”: Top democrats are urging Trump's plan to accept, Qatar Jet | Donald Trump

The top democrats in the US Senate are pushing for a vote on the floor of the Chamber -zensus of Donald Trump's plan to accept a luxury jet of 400 million US dollars from the royal family of Katar for use as Air Force One and later as a game in the personal presidential library of the Trump.

Four democratic members of the Senate Committee on Exterior Relations said on Monday that they would be pushing to vote later this week. They said that chosen officials, including the president, are not allowed to accept great gifts from foreign governments, unless the congress was to be done.

Cory Booker from New Jersey, Brian Schatz from Hawaii, Chris Coons from Delaware and Chris Murphy von Connecticut gave the reported gift from the Boeing 747-8 Jumbo Jet as a clear conflict of interest and a serious threat to national security.

“The Air Force is once again than just an airplane – it is a symbol of the presidency and the United States itself,” said the senators in a joint explanation. “Nobody should use the public service for personal profits through foreign gifts.”

The news of a possible gift from the luxury jet led to an immediate devastating criticism of the high -ranking Democrats. Although the Qatar government has emphasized that no final decision has been made, Trump seemed to confirm it on Sunday when he commented on social media that the transfer was carried out “in a very public and transparent transaction”.

The plan seems to be that the 13-year-old aircraft is equipped by the US military to use as Air Force One. When Trump leaves the White House, it is issued in his presidential library-in the deed that Trump is handed over for his personal use.

The reported agreement comes when Trump sets off on the way to the Middle East, including Qatar. Another of the countries on the tour, the United Arab Emirates, is also involved in controversy about possible conflicts of interest.

Last week it was announced that a USD 2 billion in Abu Dhabi based in Abu Dhabi in a stable coin company that had started by Trump's World Liberty Financial Crypto Company as an investment in the Krypto Exchange Binance.

The Democrats of the Senate are also preparing to develop the conflicts of interest from Trump according to congress rules for the sale of military weapons abroad.

Murphy, the Senator from Connecticut, who was at the top of the alarm about conflicts of interest in the second Trump administration, said that he would use his strength to question the arms sales in order to force a full debate, and the Senate both through the catar aircraft and the VAE Stablecoin topics.

He said on social media that he was objectionable to “every military agreement with a nation that would personally pay off Trump – we cannot be such a normal foreign policy”.

He added: “VAE's investment in Trump Crypto and Qatar's gifts of an aircraft are nuclear transplants.”

In an earlier contribution about Bluesky, Murphy described the idea that Qatar presented the jet as “only wild illegally”.

Trump has so far pushed the democratic anger aside. He praised Qatar's offer on Monday as a “big gesture” and said that he would never be “one who rejects this type of offer”.
