Coroner identifies two teenagers who were killed in the shooting of Arvin

The Coroner's Office of the Kern County identified the two men who were shot in Arvin as 19-year-old Jesus Amezcua Martinez and 18-year-old Alexander Gonsalez.

The Arvin police authority said on Saturday, May 10, around 4:30 a.m., officials in the Bautista Street were called for several reports.

When the officials arrived, they found two men who were identified as Martinez and Gonsalez and suffered from gunshot wounds outside of a house.

The men were declared dead at the crime scene.

The police said that a teenager was injured in the house in the Bautista Street and brought to a nearby hospital with non -life -threatening injuries.

The core County Sheriff's Office Lamont substation contributed to securing the scene.

The authorities believe that the incident is isolated without the public being immediately threatened.

The Arvin police head the investigation and say that a possible participation of the gangs played a role in the shootout.

There are currently no suspects in custody.
