After the death of the inmate in the Oklahoma County Detention Center on Monday in the Oklahoma County Detention Center

Oklahoma City, (Kokh) – The internment camp of the Oklahoma County reported on death in the inmates, which took place on Monday, May 12th, around 5:37 p.m.

According to OCDC, the OCDC Criminal Investigation Division (CID) actively examines death.

At around 5:37 p.m., an official Mario Mason, 26 years old, found not appealing in his cell and at the same time carried out a welfare check.

The official requested medical personnel and life-saving measures were initiated by the medical staff and the EMSA staff.

Mason died by medical staff in a nearby hospital.

On May 23, 2024, Mason was custody in the internment camp.

Mason was convicted in prison on April 24, 2025 for first -time murder and was waiting for the transfer to Oklahoma's correction department.
