WA mother in court for the child's fentanyl death

A mother of the district of Pierce County appeared after her arrest at the weekend in connection with the death of her five -year -old son Brentlee.

Last week, the medical examiner's office found that the boy died of acute fentanyltoxicity on March 13.

The family informed Fox 13 Seattle that they were there because of the effects of fentanyl. She described the five -year -old Brentlee as the sweetest, happiest and funniest little boy.

“This is a nightmare,” said Kelsey Osborne, Brentlees Aunt. She says this could have been prevented.

Timetable:

On March 13th, Brentlee's mother Jordan Shank found the five -year -old next to her, not to breathe, with vomit, according to court files. The likely cause of documents stated that Shank used Fentanyl the day before his death and described himself as more addicted who used fentanyl twice a day.

She even admitted to using it after the court documents during pregnancy.

The Pierce County's office announced the video of MPs who took Shank in custody at the weekend.

“The state did not fail as far as it affects me. Several CPS calls were made, his pediatrician called, I called, named neighbors and without success,” said Osborne.

Brentlee imposed her and another family member in the first 10 months of his life before he was returned to his mother, but she said she still helped with the co-parents.

“I would like to see how Brentlee's death is not for nothing. I want the state to make the changes that they have to make to protect these children because Brentlee is just another brand at the moment and that is terrible,” said Osborne.

On Monday, the 32-year-old was not guilty in court.

What you say:

“The defendant is charged with the first degree because of the death of her five -year -old child. At the time of the child's death, the house in which he lived had no flowing water and was in complete decay.

“It is probably the worst thing that has ever happened to me,” said Bonnie Johnson, Brentlee's grandmother and Jordan's mother.

She was also in court and says she was dealing with many mixed feelings.

“I don't hate my daughter, I love her, am I angry? Yes, I'm angry, my grandson is gone, but you know someone about drugs who has morality or makes the right decisions? No,” said Johnson.

She saw Brentlee the day before his death. She didn't know that the last time she would ever see him.

The judge set a deposit for Shank for 750,000 US dollars.
