The death of Boston police officer John O'Keefe 2022 could have been the result of a violent love triangle, in which an ATF agent and his girlfriend, who were alleged killer Karen Read, who adapted a SMS to each other just a few weeks before his liveliness.

Read, now 45, is accused of killing her 46-year-old friend, a police officer in Boston, on January 29, 2022. The police claim that she hit him with the back end of her Lexus SUV and drove away, made him unable and let him die during a snowstorm.

Read is not guilty and denied to beat O'keefe through her lawyers.

“In their opinion, they were only asked whether there was a motive they found for Brian Higgins to murder John O'keefe,” said defender Alan Jackson Sgt. Yuri Bukhenik from Massachusett's State Police. “I ask you another question. In your opinion, you think you found a motif for Brian Higgins after reading these texts, maybe confront John O'keefe for jealousy?”

“If you ask in my opinion, my opinion is that he doesn't have to confront Mr. O'keefe,” said Bukhenik. “Mr. O'Keefe was not the one who persecuted Mr. Higgins. It was her customer who followed Mr. Higgins.”

On Friday, Jackson had a long texts between Read and Higgins in the weeks before O'keef's death, where they flirted, invited each other, invited a kiss outside of O'keefes Haus, discussed a kiss outside of O'Keefes Haus and often brought up strong drinking.

Read started the conversation and Higgins' answer was to ask how she got his number and why she reached for him. Read stopped answering death a few days before O'keef's death. Higgins, Read and O'keefe were all present at the Waterfall bar and grilling on January 28, 2022, and Jackson asked Bukhenik whether the surveillance video showed that Higgins was aggressive to O'keefe.

The same night, Higgins sent two unanswered texts to read.

“After weeks of communication with Miss Read in a romantic way and then … you see how you see John O'keefe walking in the door and sending the text message.

“There is a possibility there, but I didn't see it,” said Bukhenik.

“Did you examine this option?” Said Jackson.

Bukhenik said that he did not rely on the “entirety of the investigation”, which led to charges against reading.

Bukhenik returned to his third testimony to the stand and spent hours answering questions. His certificate came at the end of the day and judge Beverly Cannone told him that he did not have to return on Tuesday.

In the new editions of special prosecutor Hank Brennan, Bukhenik said that green markings on the back of O'keeefes looked jeans such as grass stains, which he suspected when O'keefe fell on the floor after beating.

Defenders Alan Jackson asked whether grass stains could come from someone who was pulled.

“My common sense stipulates that it was not a drag brand because it would have linear characterizations, and both buttocks that are involved in contact with the floor would be involved,” said Bukhenik.

Bukhenik used to read text messages from the former state troop Michael Proctor, who has since been released since the first examination because of his non -servant behavior.

During Jackson's survey, Bukhenik confirmed that Proctor Read “remained” that he hated her other defender, David Yannetti, and wrote self -selfies about the search for her phone.

Jackson also played a video that Brian Higgins seems to show at the Canton police department around an hour after the death of prosecutors.

Higgins were seen on the surveillance video under a group of people in the Waterfall Bar and Grille together with Read and O'Keefe on January 28th. He also went to an after party in the 34 Fairview Road, a house of another Boston police officer, Brian Albert.

O'keefe was discovered dead the next morning.

Several witnesses testified that they read repeatedly when she said: “I beat him”, the morning reading and two former friends found O'keefe dead under a snow hill on Albert's lawn.

After Cannone sent jurors to lunch for lunch, she held a short hearing from Voir Dire and finally said that she would not allow Jackson to ask Bukhenik what he knew about the relationship between Proctor and relatives of Albert, including one of his brothers, Chris, who was also at the waterfall on January 28.

Read could take a look at life in prison if he was convicted of the second degree on the second degree murder. It is also accused of manslaughter and leaves the place of a fatal accident.

The police have not accused Higgins of a crime, and the prosecutors say that reading is the only suspect in O'keefe's death.
