“I thought they would only deport criminals.” Deployment

Liyian Páez, a Cuban American, is broken with a broken heart after her husband was deported to Cuba, reports the mirror. The woman, who is a supporter of Donald Trump, said she felt cheated because she thought that only criminals were deported from the USA, and added that her husband had a clean recording.

The 28-year-old Alían Méndez Aguilar was deported in April, which caused Páez to take care of her children alone, including a child with special needs. “I thought they would only deport criminals,” she said to Univision, quoted in the mirror. She added: “We are good people.”

According to Cibercuba, Aguilar came to the USA in 2019 and received a deportation order in 2020. However, he was not deported because the Cuban government refused to receive him at that time.

When 90 days passed without his return, he was released under supervision. Since then he has built a life for himself in the United States. He worked, married and founded a family – all without legal problems.

This incident had the family smashed with the young child, her daughter cried and looked for her father. After the deportation, Páez and the children visited Cuba for a short time.

Páez told the mirror that the little girl was overwhelmed by emotions after seeing her father. “She kept saying: 'Papa, Papa' and hugged him and kissed him as if she didn't understand what had happened, why she hadn't seen her father,” added the woman.

Aguilar is in Cuba while his family is back in the USA. He explores legal options to find a way to return to America. His wife Páez, on the other hand, tries to achieve senators and congress representatives to get their husband back.
