The state police examine bodily harm as a possible hate crime

The soldiers of Maryland State Police examine an attack near Walkersville as possible hate crimes in the early Saturday.

According to a press release from the state police, shortly before 2 a.m. in a supermarket in the 8,400 block of Woodsboro Pike, sent to a supermarket.

A 25-year-old man who was not identified in the press release told the police that four unknown men attacked him in the parking lot and, according to the police, made derogatory comments on the sexual orientation of the man.

The man rejected medical treatment on site.

The police investigate the incident due to the references to the sexual orientation of the man after the press release as a hate crime.

The police believe that the four men are all between 16 and 20 years old.
