Celtics share ominous update to Jayson Tatum ankle injury

The Boston Celtics lost a critical game 4 against the New York Knicks in Madison Square Garden on Monday evening, but they may have lost something more important in the fourth quarter of the competition.

The Celtics star Jayson Tatum has recently run off with a right ankle injury and, after a Celtics turnover, changed from obvious pain that led to a breakout dark for the Knicks in the transition. The team doctors helped Tatum back to the changing room and he did not return to action.

Boston was already behind him when Tatum, despite the excellent performance of the striker, went down to this point, which included 42 points, eight rebounds, four assists, four steals and two blocks. The Celtics lost the competition with a score of 121-113 and were now on the edge of the elimination, with the series returning 3-1 to Boston on Wednesday.

While it would be pure speculation at that time to predict whether Tatum will be ready in 48 hours, since his team is trying to repeat himself as two consecutive NBA champions, he will be unlikely to make an arbitrator excavation if you consider the team from game 4 to game 5.

Joe Mazzulla, head coach of Celtics, offered an update to Tatum's injury status during his press conference after the game on Monday evening.

“He is now with the doctors … We will get the MRI tomorrow and see what it is.”

Boston's first two defeats in the series, both of which came on the team's home floor, were partly characterized by poor shooting behind the 3-point arch.

The Celtics were significantly criticized by analysts across the country because they continued to firing long-distance shots of driving the ball into the basket despite several ways, driving and/or pollution with 2 points with 2 points and making the free-wing line over the first two matchups.

Boston went out 25 out of 100 in the first two games, and the 75 mistakes of the team behind the 3-point line broke a record for the most faulty long-distance tests in a range of NBA playoffs in two influences.

The Celtics resigned in game 3 and combined with 50% of their 40 attempts from Deep and won slightly with 115-93. Boston was also solid behind the arc on Monday and connected to 18-von-48 tests (37.5%), although it was not enough to put the kinks away.

If Tatum cannot play in motion, New York should have a meaningful advantage. The Knicks only have to win one of three games remaining in the series in order to overcome the final of the Eastern Conference.

Jalen Brunson was huge again in the crunch time

In addition to the battles of the 3-point line in games 2 and 3, another sensible part of Boston's problems during the crunch time has taken place in tight games.

The Celtics have long defenders who have affected the Knicks Star -Guard Jalen Brunson for a long time, but New York has proven to be more effective in the last three minutes of all three games that it won against Boston.

Brunson was most of them, an average of 28 points in the series and in games 1, 2 and 4, all of whom won the kinks.

Jaylen Brown, who fought for a knee injury during these playoffs, was the MVP and NBA final of the Eastern Conference MVP when the Celtics won the title last year. Tatum, however, remains the most talented player on Bostoner squad and may not be healthy/available for the rest of this series. If this proves the case, the Celtics must contact Brown – or another player on the roster – to wear them during the crunch time.
