The death of the woman in Waterbury Police custody is examined – NBC Connecticut

A woman died at the weekend in the care of the Waterbury police authority and her death is now being examined by the General Inspector.

The investigators said that a 29-year-old woman was arrested near an abandoned house in the Willow Street in Waterbury on Friday.

At the time of their arrest, the officials sought them and said they found several wrinkles of alleged narcotics that later tested positively for heroin/fentanyl.

When checking records, the police said that the woman was looking for due to additional arrest warrants.

She was unable to produce a bond and was held on Monday, May 12th, in the Waterbury police authority until a court appearance.

According to the General Inspector, the woman was monitored in police custody by the Waterbury Police Department. On Saturday, around 9:15 a.m., she was supposedly seen as awake.

During the woman's cell checks, she seemed to sleep at noon.

When the police added to her around 2:23 p.m., the authorities said that she was no longer responding. Medical staff called by the police declared her dead for her later around 2:53 p.m.

The Chief Medical Examiner office carried out an autopsy about the woman on Sunday. Their cause of death is listed as indefinite until the results of the toxicological tests.

The examination is active and continuous.
