The 18-year-old, who was killed in Union City, said he was targeted

The Union City police are investigating a fatal shootout that claims the life of an 18-year-old high school senior on Monday evening. The victim, identified as Martino Allen Jr.

What we know:

Allen, senior at the McNair High School, who had recently visited a prom was with his younger brother and other teenagers when someone knocked on the door of his apartment on the upper floor. When everyone opened the door, according to his family, he was immediately hit by masked and hooded persons who opened the fire.

“He opened the door and they just shot it,” said his mother Tiffany Fuller, who returned to the scene on Tuesday morning. “You took my baby. My baby is gone.”

Family members believe that everyone has been set up. They say that a neighbor's doorbell camera caught the masked people who approached the apartment before shooting. One of the people supposedly wore a red ski mask, another a hoodie.

Allen's brother stayed at the scene and remained with him after the shootout, but others who had been in the apartment ran away before the police arrived. Fuller asks everyone who was in the apartment or has knowledge of the incident to report.

Fuller also said that her son had experienced bullying at school.

The Union City police are still working to determine how many people were involved in the shootings and ask everyone to contact the examination.
