City works with the owner of property to tackle the crime in the South Central El Paso camp

The residents near a restless free camp in South Central El Paso will soon see a certain relief.

The property, which is located near the intersection of Myrtle and Noble streets, was a source of concern for neighbors due to crime reports, including drug use, attacks, property damage and shots.

The city explained that its hands are bound because the lot is private property.

In cooperation with the owner, however, recent efforts were made to install fencing in the region.

Frank Larios, a El Paso living near the free property, expressed his concerns at a city council meeting and said: “Over the years, the real estate, the bigger you get, the more serious the problem for us. I believe that a call is everything to fix this.”

The deputy city administrator Mario d'Agostino said that both the police department and the development programs for the development of the community were involved in offering services to those with the warehouse.

“So we work on it while we give you time before we go out and tidy up the area. And so we give you this time that we will be working again on the last morning to make sure you understand that we will help you collect your things so that you can continue,” said D'Agostino.

In response to ongoing problems, the residents are now working near the property to form a neighborhood association in order to tackle the situation.
