The 35th annual Industrial Trade Show and Business Expo illuminate growth in Jackson County

Jackson Co., Miss. (WLOX) – On Tuesday, a number of companies of all sizes and many classifications in the Jackson County Civic Center came together.

It is all part of this year's industrial trade fair and business expo that emphasizes economic growth throughout the district.

The Superior Optical Lab Vice President Tony Jones received the spotlight and advertises with the progress of his business.

“We have grown so much since Derick and I bought the company in 2017. We went from around 11,500 square foot to the moment, we are well over 52,000 square foot,” he said.

“Who knew that they would expand with the VA in this new contract? This is quite powerful and says a lot about what is going on in Jackson County,” added Jackson County, Vanessa Gibson.

The service in the possession of veterans owned by veterans produces two thousand pairs of glasses every day.

“At Superior, we are most happy that we provide the veterans of our nation, the heroes of our nation.

Some of the other companies present were Gulf States Automation, Smith Tank & Steel, Hargrove and Navigator Credit Union.
