Watch how hundreds of rattles snakes from the new Pennsylvania -Webcam from “Mega come”

The group behind the popular Rattlecam Livestreams, which shows hundreds of rattles snakes in California and Colorado, expand the east.

In April, researchers started with the Rattlecam project for the second year with the “Mega the” Northern Colorado Livestream, so that everyone could watch the reptile internet stars when they come from winter sleep. The California Livestream, which debuted in 2021, is expected to be resumed at some point this summer.

After recently more funds, a new live stream in Pennsylvania will probably be debut in the spring of 2026, according to Owen Bachhuber, a doctor from the Californian Polytechnic State University, which will help the management of Project RattleCam. The new camera has the opportunity to present other types of snakes such as copper heads and various animals such as black bears.

“We want everyone to be able to see what a snake that could live near them and the part of the attraction of the Pennsylvania camera is to give people in the east to represent,” Bachhuber told USA today.

Bachhuber said the project continues to inform the public about the snakes, including young students who observe the live stream in scientific classes under a newly published curriculum. The researchers have already started noticing fascinating facts by the Colorado Livestream, which shows hundreds of rattles snakes from unknown private property.

“In particular, there were a few snakes that had pretty serious injuries, such as missing cocks or head wounds or big scars. We actually saw that these snakes were made from hibernation, so that was really encouraging for us,” he added.

What is Project Rattlecam?

Project Rattlecam examines the social dynamics of the snakes through their unique scaling patterns and aims to question a long -term negative stigma compared to rattles snakes.

Scientists from California Polytechnic State University, Dickinson College in Pennsylvania and the Central Coast Snake Services have teamed up to create a Rattlecam project. The first live stream was launched in the summer of 2021 along the central coast of California.

According to Bachhuber, the exact place of the complex is retained for the safety of the snakes.

Both rattlesnake livestreams are available on Rattlecam.org and on the YouTube channel from Project Rattlecam, although only the Colorado feed will be executed from May 13th.

The Colorado Livestream from Project Rattlecam triggered more than 2.5 million views in the 2024 debut year and even reached over 180,000 spectators in one day, said Bacchuber.
