Truck drivers admit to drinking “unknown amount of tequila” before causing fatal crash, say soldiers, say soldiers

Limestone County, Ala. (WBRC/Gray News) – A hand -wrapped manual driver for murder is accused of having approved eight accidents on the main traffic time on Interstate 65 during the ride of rush hour.

According to a report by Alabama Uniform Traffic Crash, John McAdams admitted to State Troopers to drink an “unknown amount of tequila” before the accidents on the highway were exceeded.

The authorities said the crashes occurred on May 6th.

McAdams has now been charged with murder, under which influence and the scene of the accident left.

The truck driver is accused of having killed William Hardrick, a born in Adamsville Austin Pay State University.

Hardrick's mother, Dionne Bryant, said he drove home that day when the crash happened.

Alabama's authorities said reports had been completed for four of the eight crashes. According to reports, the first crash occurred at 6.45 p.m. at Mile Post 362.

McAdams told the investigators that he drove his Semitruck on the 365-mile marker to rest and drank tequila before he had a nap.

“After he woke up, he went back onto the street, but did not remember the specific details of the when or why,” said the investigator.

Shortly after McAdams, according to a crash report, had withdrawn to the highway, he hit a driver in a limousine twice while driving 85 miles per hour. The driver was able to leave the Interstate and was taken to the Athens Hospital.

McAdams then took up the speed before he banged 6 miles after the first crash in Hardrick's car when he drove about 90 miles per hour, the investigators said.

The soldiers wrote that McAdams hit Hardrick's vehicle “aggressively” and forced him from the street into a ditch before rolling several times.

Hardrick was partially expelled from the car according to the crash report. He was declared dead at the crime scene.

The next crash occurred a few minutes later and for miles down the road.

McAdams is accused of being joined against an SUV at 90 miles per hour and partially overwritten the bumper. This driver was able to cover on the side of the Interstate.

The next crash, based on available crash reports, occurred in Mile Post 346. The victim told the investigators that he had seen a half -brain in his rearview mirror and raced to take another track, but was still hit from behind and forced from the street.

According to the crash reports, McAdams continued to drive 12 miles towards the south before he could no longer operate the vehicle and came to a controlled stop. “

McAdams agreed to find sobriety tests that “revealed several indications of impairment,” said Troopers.

It is unclear how much time between McAdam's approval of drinking tequila and his booking went to the Limestone County prison. However, court files showed the results of his breath alcohol test, which .09 returned above the legal border.

This week Hardrick's family submitted an illegal complaint against McAdams. Hardrick was 22 years old.
