The Nassau County police identified the three victims of the fatal crash on Sunday in Bethpage.

As news 12 reported, three people were killed when a vehicle that drove east on the stymus Avenue, hit a tree and caught fire.

The victims of the accident that are all 20 years old were identified as Gino Vicale from Seaford, Nicholas Rivera from Glendale and Vincent Cavaliere from Bethpage.

Chris Antonacci from Bethpage lives not far from the tragic crash. He says it is the worst crash he saw in his neighborhood.

“It's just crazy in 17 years,” he said. “It is heartbreaking. It is probably a parent's worst nightmare.”

A monument to the victims continues to grow and sprouts messages of love, from a stone that “Gino, we love you”, to a carving on a tree with the inscription “Brothers for Life”.

Friends of the victims tell news 12 outside the camera, the trio were three great guys who lived more than any other life.

Bryan Jones from Bethpage says he lived near the Cavaliere family for decades and says that the loss of her son Vincent will be felt in the community.

“I've been here for almost 30 years and I don't have a bad word to say,” he said. “What a beautiful family. I mean, they are very caring parents. I can't even imagine what they are going through.”

Vincent Cavaliere was a soccer player at the Assumpture University in Massachusetts.

The university partly published an explanation of his death: “Vincent was a student athlete who illustrated the best in the acceptance of students and used his heart on excellence. One of his faculty members noticed:” I only said him last week how it was a pleasure to get to know him. “Vincent's friends, faculty, football, classmates – nearby – Everyone – have this pleasure.

Anna Marino von Bethpage lives the block before the crash and is the mother of two children in the 20s.

“I wouldn't even know what to say to a mother on Mother's Day that she has to deal with this ordeal,” she said. “And there are three children, three 20-year-olds. Her life just started.”

The Nassau police did not say exactly what caused the crash.

A fundraising campaign for the families was set up here.
