National parks are dirty with viral “thirst trap” videos

Are America's national parks … thirsty?

Several national park -fan accounts on Tikkok have shot their heads this week to combine sexy videos and music alongside breathtaking pictures of nature.

A report called Visit Yellowstone, which is not connected to the national park, faced the trend with videos that begin with an attractive male influencer or a fame before cutting a natural video that is overlaid by a sexually explicit song.

A video with muscle-bound social media star Thish Bradley, who tears off his shirt while the video cuts into a calm alpine lake, has collected thousands of comments and hundreds of thousands of likes. Another in which Jason Momoa keeps an ice bar and asks: “Bite them or lick them?” Before cutting a clip from Yellowstones famous painted pots was also popular.

Others have taken up the trend. A report dedicated to the Olympic National Park had fun with posts about the Hohen Regenwald. An account for Mount Hood (a national forest instead of a national park) has praised its “wide open canyons” with a wink.

A Yosemite National Park account is really able to publish videos on “Cougars and Older Mothers”.

In the meantime, a fan account by Crater Lake made waving suggestions on how deep the lake is (1,943 feet) and at the same time underlines the floating tree trunk in the lake.

It should be noted again that none of these accounts are connected to the National Park Service or any tourism agencies – despite the many commentators. It still has to be seen whether these official social media accounts will enter the game.
