Brett Batys late Homerun drives up on pirates (highlights)

The New York Mets (28-15) achieved a 2-1 victory against the Pittsburgh Pirates (14-29) on Tuesday evening on the Citi Field behind Kodai Sengas Körnigen and a Clutch Solo Homer from Brett Baty.

Senga danced for problems all night and, despite several jams, kept Pittsburgh on a run over 5.2 innings. The right -hander stranded the runners in the points in each of his first four innings and ended with seven strikes. Although the pirates went 0: 13 with runners in the goal position, they left 12 men thanks to timely parking spaces from Senga and a sharp Mets bullpen on the basis.

Juan Soto let the meters roll into the first with a single and a stolen base, which prepared Brandon Dimo's RBI double for early lead. Mitch Keller then kept the meters in chess until Baty broke an opponent solo shot out of the game in the seventh 1-1 tie, his fourth home run in his last 13 bats.

The bullpen delivered again. Max Kranick, Ryne Stanek and Edwin Díaz excluded it, with Díaz escaping a tense ninth, in which the pirates put two with one from the goal position. Díaz frozen Bryan Reynolds on a fast ball with a full count and made Joey Bart seal the 28th win of the METS.

Box score

On Wednesday, the Mets will complete the pirates' three-game swing with Clay Holmes on the hill. The first place is set for 7:10 p.m.
