One critically injured in the crash overnight on the I-469

Fort Wayne, Ind. (Wpta) – The department of the sheriff of all county examines a crash overnight on Interstate 469, which leaves a person in a critical condition.

The crash occurred around 12.26 p.m. on the I-469 near the Wheelock Road overpass.

The police say that a blue Ford Edge and a blue Chevy Trailblazer collided for an unknown reason.

They say that the front blazer went off the street, rolled down the embankment and caught fire. The driver of this vehicle was taken to the hospital in a critical condition.

The police say that the edge went down the street and the dam and finally came near the Wheelock Road and Earlmont Drive. The driver of this car was treated in the scene for minor injuries.

The department of the sheriff of all county further examines the crash. It calls on drivers to avoid the area on Wednesday morning.
