Cardinal Becciu leaves the papal mood in the scandal

Cardinal Angelo Becciu officially withdrawn from the papal conclave and ended weeks of speculation about his participation. Becciu, once a mighty figure in the Vatican, made this decision after he had received two letters from Pope Francis before the Pope's death, and said he should not take part in the elections. The Vatican had already excluded him from the official list of voters after his condemnation of 2023.

Becciu said that he believes that the money would go to a British company that negotiates the publication of a nun kidnapped in Mali. Together with Marogna and seven other co -accused, Becciu received a conviction and has appealed since then against the decision. Legal observers have expressed concerns about the proper procedure during the process.
